Push Down Turn
A locking mechanism that requires pressure from a push down motion is the distinct feature of child resistant closures, also commonly referred to as CRC. Child resistant closures are commonly used for chemical, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical products used in household settings that can be a hazard if consumed in large quantities. The closure is designed to be significantly more difficult for children to open in order to prevent them from possibly ingesting the contents within the packaging. Liners can also be used with child resistant closures. Most common liners used with child resistant closures are foam, pressure sensitive, and heat seal liners.
